He noted that the industry reached revenues of COP532.573 billion between January and May of the current year alone, and expressed optimism for a record-breaking financial performance in healthcare contributions for 2026.

However, this measure was subsequently overturned by the Constitutional Court.
In response to recent flooding in the country, the government issued Decree 0240 in March, reinstating a 16% VAT on GGR as an emergency financial measure.
